Khalid M. Saidi and Karsten Schmidt both began their careers in the revenue department at the Berlin Corporate Tax Office (Finanzamt für Körperschaften). After passing their professional exams, they worked in various positions as self-employed and employed tax consultants before joining forces to expand and head a supra-regional tax consulting company based in Berlin. Their experience over years of working together led them to found the Saidi & Schmidt Tax Consultancy in May 2003.
